Larry Labine is Barred from the Securities Industry for Selling Unsuitable Investments

In April 2016, Larry Labine was barred by FINRA from selling investments due to his unsuitable sale of high-risk investments.  According to his FINRA BrokerCheck report, Larry Labine currently 39 disclosure events, including more than 28 customer complaints and 5 regulatory notices. FINRA alleged among other things that Larry Labine made unsuitable sales of non-traded real estate investment trusts (REITS) and other alternative investments to his customers, who were elderly and/or inexperienced investors. FINRA further alleged that Larry Labine's recommendations REITS other alternative investments to the customers were unsuitable, given that the investments were illiquid, hard to value, complex and high risk.

According to a recent news report, barred stockbroker Lawrence "Larry" Labine died in a tragic murder-suicide.  Even though he has passed away, customers of Larry Labine may be able to bring claims against the brokerage firms he was previously associated with.
